When we dream why do we sometimes have the ones that keep recurring? That is a question almost everyone wonders at some point in life. For years no one has really had the answer to that specific question. Researchers figured out where dreams originated, but it has always been a bigger concern on why some keep reappearing. Now that we have the answers the only thing left to do is use it to educate others. Recurring dreams have always been a mystery till now.
Ever wondered why you kept have that same dream over and over again? Many people have had recurring dreams, but had no idea what so ever, why. That's why sleep experts like Michael Breus have PhDs for sleeping and dreaming related circumstances (see foot note). Specialists like Dr. Breus have researched dreams to educate us and answer those types of questions. Another Expert Dr. Daniel Condron (Dream Researcher at the School of Metaphysics) has a theory that recurring dreams represent a message or a question. Just like all sleep experts they both believe recurring dreams are just our normal dreams except these are known for translating unseen information, otherwise known as messages. These types of dreams seem to replay over and over again only because they are not acknowledged the first time. Since we dream based on what happens every day it would be impossible to have the same exact dreams since our brain takes in things from daily events. They keep appearing because normally they are created by something that troubles us. These are normally negative dreams rather than mirthful ones. The recurring dreams happen because there are things we avoid or do not deal with. After so long of avoiding something, but still thinking about it our dreams become focused on that one problem. Individuals are so used to ignoring dreams and using the typical saying "it was just a dream". In their minds this is helping, but what it is really doing is giving a message that dreams are not important. Everyone has at least one thing they fear or stress about, because of that recurring dreams are extremely common.
Believe it or not there are ways to stop recurring dreams. Many have believed that when you dream there are no ways to stop one from happening, but there is. Some have said that recurring dreams are not always easy to get rid of, because they are not just dreams that come from nowhere they are actual real-life obstacles we face. Therefore, a simple way to avoid the annoying rerun of dreams is to face that situation and overcome it. To relieve all of the constant recurring dreams people must learn to either let go of something, or stop to calm down and work through their problems. They only occur repeatedly because of our emotional state or the troubles we have. This is sometimes a struggle, because people do not always realize they are avoiding something until they dream. These dreams open our eyes to show us what is really going on if we happen to miss it during waking periods. There are many reasons why researchers say these dreams will not just go away. One reason is because until you start working with the recurring dreams they will just continue to reappear. They will normally start to change over a period of time, but not go completely away until you fix your problems within. Even if that means letting go of a break-up or just getting over a fear. Recurring dreams normally come after a fight, conflict, or stressful situation. This is why it is not always so simple to ease these dreams. They are hard to stop because of the fact that they feed off of our emotions and events in everyday life. Dreams truly are the keys to our subconscious.
Recurring dreams can be a pain, but research shows people do not need to ignore them we need to pay more attention to them. The one thing people need to understand is that dreams only keep recurring because us individuals keep repeating the same steps, and running into the same old obstacles. These types of dreams are not bad to have; they are more of an eye opener instead. We often see dreams as little night skits, but they are way more than that. If we did not have these dreams some of us might not have known that we had so many problems within ourselves. Dreams show us who we are, they show us what were capable of.
For my follow up i will be reaching away from the my opinions, experts opinions, and the civilians opinions and go more towards media. I will show how you can find dream related things in music, TV, movies, etc. This will hopefully show people that you can find anything and relate it to questions you may have. I will find examples and underneath that i will explain my reasons for choosing them. The examples i choose will make others see we are surrounded by research.
